Meet the Team

Lori Cocks, OTR/L and FDN-P

Founder and Certified FDN

Lori is a rehabilitation specialist with 28 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist. Over nearly three decades working in hospitals, rehab centers, and homes, she began to see a pattern: people weren’t getting better because the system kept offering the same one-size-fits-all answers to deeply individual problems. Understanding that the medical system has its place, she also knew healing had to be personal — rooted in bio-individuality, nature, and the wisdom of the body.

She decided to go back to school to deepen her understanding of bio-individuality and the unique needs of each person. After researching many programs, she chose the one that aligned most with her values — Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN). Through long hours of study, dedication, and hands-on training, she graduated as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. Today, she works with clients one-on-one, honoring each person as an individual and creating personalized wellness plans that support the body’s natural ability to heal.

Her work is grounded in the belief that humans are not machines to be fixed, but living beings meant to be connected to the earth, to each other, and to their own inner rhythms. She is against the division, the fighting, the noise, and the illusion that technology or quick fixes can replace real healing. Lori believes we heal when we return to what is natural, simple, and true.

As a mother of three, grandmother of seven, and great-grandmother of two, she brings a deep, generational compassion to her work. She guides people gently — with knowledge, intuition, and respect — helping them reconnect with their wild and wonderful wellness in a way that honors who they are as individuals.

Outside of her work and love of family, Lori feels most alive outdoors: being near the ocean, camping, cooking over a fire, breathing fresh mountain air, and listening to the river and the wind in the pines. She helps others find their way back to what feels natural, simple, and true for them.

Stay wild, stay wonderful, stay well.
